Respectful attitude to the child in kindergarten

The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to verify whether kindergarten teachers choose a respectful approach towards children, which is focused on children's needs, their individual possibilities and interests. The theoretical part describes communication in general and defines respectful or effective communication and its forms, but ineffective communication is also described here. Furthermore, the text of the thesis is focused on the relationship between a child and an adult, on the individualization of education, where the importance of developmental peculiarities of preschool children is pointed out. The individual needs of children and inclusive education are also mentioned. For the purpose of achieving the set goal, qualitative research, a method of short-term intentional observation, was chosen, for which three criteria were chosen. The first criterion was the relationship between the child and the teacher. The second criterion related to the use of effective and ineffective forms of communication, and the third criterion dealt with the needs of children. The research group was kindergarten teachers from five institutions within the South Moravian and South Bohemian Regions. The observation was supplemented by a short semi-structured interview with kindergarten teachers. The aim of the interview was to find out the teachers' awareness of the individualization of education.
Coaching as a profession: bases for professional ethics of coaching and reflection on selected topics

This diploma thesis presents coaching as an independent profession. It shows that it is not just a method of training, counseling or employee management, which would then follow the ethics of the fields in which it is applied, but that coaching is a profession that has its own methodology, research and practice, during which atise a specific ethical issues, and this diploma thesis will focus on selected ones. The first part deals with the issue of the concept of coaching. Based on the definition of coaching and its historical development, it tries to distinguish coaching from psychotherapy, mentoring, counseling and also from sports coaching. It examines the etymology of the word coach, whether there is any more suitable Czech equivalent of this profession designation, which is closely connected primarily with the sports environment. It tries to define the professional base of coaching, to find its position among the helping professions, to show its independence and thus to obtain starting points for future ethical reflections. In the second part of the diploma thesis, the paradigm of the coach- client relationship is determined, the coach's professional competencies and assumptions on the client's side are defined. The benefit of respectful communication in nursery school

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out what is the attitude of the pedagogical public to respectful communication and to verify whether it is used in kindergartens. The theoretical part describes education, its goals and styles. Furthermore, the text is focused on communication, specifically on respectful communication. Its benefits and risks of use in kindergarten are defined here. Inefficient ways of communication are mentioned, as well as the issue of rewards and punishments in education. In the practical part, I find out which ways of communication with children are effective and efficient according to kindergarten teachers and how future teachers encounter effective communication during their studies. I find out the method of communication among students of secondary pedagogical schools and universities, especially among students of the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia, where respectful communication is taught.
Dignity of a person with a mental disability

The thesis deals with the reflection of evaluation of human dignity at work with people with mental disabilities in the facility of the STROOM DUB o. p. s. center by social workers and workers at social services. The first part of the thesis deals with the general explanation of the term human dignity, then dignity of people with mental disabilities and the significance of human dignity in Christianity. Furthermore, the thesis describes a brief overview of history and introduces the social work with people with mental disabilities. The second part of the thesis is focused on the STROOM DUB o. p. s. center, its creation and description, further on the objectives, interests and work of the center. It briefly introduces clients which reside in the center all year round or outpatient and their work and the individual therapeutic workshops. The last part of the thesis deals with the research in facilities itself, objective of which is to find out how the workers of the center - social workers and workers at social services approach clients with mental disabilities, if they respect/do not respect dignity of people with mental disabilities and how the perceive this interaction.
Wiretapping as a new phenomenon in the media

My thesis deals with ethics and legislative aspects of publishing secret recordings and wiretraps in media. It focus on situations when public persons are involved. The main aim is at proceedings of magazines Respekt and Týden in "obálková kauza" case which stroke the political scene in the year 2011.
Comparative analysis of cover pages of magazines Respekt and Reflex in the period of 2009-2010 (textual and semiotic comparison)

Bachelor thesis "A comparative analysis of cover pages of magazines Respekt and Reflex in the period of 2009 - 2010 (textual and semiotic comparison)" deals with semiotic analysis of the cover pages of two similar weekly magazines in the same period. Research sample includes five covers of each magazine which shows Czech political figures. The first part of this thesis it describes the theoretical essence of semiotics. The second one is about magazines and theory of cover. In practical part analyses the covers of both magazines with the aim of overall comparison in terms of their communicating intentions, construction of reality and its work with myths and stereotypes. Visual and language codes are studied in terms of denotation, connotation and implied postmodern myths. In the recent media discursus has been interpreting signs and symbols, decoding the hidden meanings and perceptions of the dominant ideology in the construct of reality. Attention is focused on the design of Reflex' photomontage and Respekt's drawing, as well as on composition, colors and using stereotypes. Result of analysis shows a consistent approach of both magazines to the dominant ideology, but a different approach to construct reality and creating the communication plan, which comes just from the way of processing.
